Our Calgary Waterworks & Pumps Supply Division is looking for the best person with the right qualifications and experience to be an INSIDE SALES - PUMPS SPECIALIST.

This would appeal to someone who is excited about being part of a tremendous growth opportunity with our company, and aspires to being a functional Lead (e.g. Pumps).

YOU ARE: a highly motivated, technically competent, computer savvy, customer focused, safety conscious team player. Your customers and co-workers would describe you as a continuous learner who prides him/herself on product knowledge, and is considered a subject matter experts in pumps and perhaps even water treatment. Your attention to detail is very good, your follow up skills unbeatable, and communication skills (verbal/written) above average.

YOUR ROLE IS: to prepare and submit customer quotations/proposals (pump sizing and application quoting, engineered pump solutions, water management, residential and commercial pump and water treatment) to secure sales and provide customer service.


  • find potential projects for bid and compile list of material requirements
  • read and interpret specifications and blueprints
  • communicate with suppliers to discuss material specs, clarify/confirm availability of materials, pricing and identify alternatives for special or custom orders
  • communicate with customers to resolve any project issues or concerns
  • Get status updates on open/outstanding quotations with Sales and customers
  • Provide customer service by answering phone enquiries, online questions, and provide counter sales support.


You may have an applicable C.E.T. designation, or a couple of years of applicable post secondary engineering, but at least 2-5 years of relevant Pumps and Water Treatment experience is required. Acceptable and equivalent combinations of knowledge, education and experience will also be considered.

It is expected you will have good communication, planning and time management skills, and a strong work ethic. Ability and experience reading blueprints is essential. Orientation and ongoing training will be provided.
